Theresa Glowacki

Hello and thank you for visiting my interactive portfolio! My name is Theresa Glowacki, I am a WNY native who currently lives in Hamburg NY with my husband Bob, our 5 year old son Mason, our 2 year old son Hudson, and our 2 cats and dog!

In 2009 I graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a BSED in Speech and Language Disabilities.  After working in the field for a few years I returned to school where I earned my M.S. in Regular Education and Special Education, from D'Youville College in 2013.

For 5 years I was employed at Akron Elementary School where I taught a self contained 12:1:1 special education class.  My class consisted of students in grades Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. In 2018 I took on a new roll at Boston Valley Elementary School, in the Hamburg School District.  I currently run a self contained, 8:1:1 special education room, for grades K-2. I truly enjoy my class and love going to work everyday!

In July 2017 I co-founded a non-profit organization called Buffalo Autism Project. It is our mission to provide the WNY community with an abundance of quality information, resources, and events surrounding best practices on Autism Spectrum Disorder to increase hope, awareness, and acceptance.

This portfolio consists of my academic accomplishments, interests, and beliefs as an educator. It will be my duty to help both students and co-workers become active and lifelong learners.
